Pilot Plant

Capabilities

Situated at our Melbourne facility is a full range of pilot plant filters as well as facilities for leaf scale and slurry analysis. We recommend initial laboratory testing be conducted to determine filterability and to give an indication of the type of filter required. Preliminary assessment of filter media requirements, discharge type and filtration rate are also determined.

Following successful laboratory testing, we recommend pilot filtration tests on site under actual operating conditions be conducted.

For this purpose we can provide self-contained pilot filter stations as follows:

Rotary Drum Filter
A 0.9 m2 with 316 Stainless Steel wetted parts is available. This filter is mounted on a skid complete with accessories such as vacuum pump, vacuum receivers, filtrate pump and control panel, all pre-piped to form a single easily transportable unit.
Horizontal Pan Filter
One (1) pan filter of 0.7 m2 with two wash stages, of 316 Stainless Steel constructions is available. This pan filter is complete with drives and vacuum receivers but less accessories such as vacuum pump, filtrate pump etc.
Travelling Belt Filter
One (1) belt filter of 0.9 m2 with 316 Stainless Steel constructions is available. This filter station is made up of 2 components, the filter itself and the accessory station which is skid mounted and carries three (3) vacuum receivers, filtrate pumps, vacuum pump and control cabinet all pre-piped and pre-wired to allow maximum process flexibility variation.
Pressure Leaf Filter
Bench top Pressure Leaf Filter of 0.06 m2 constructed of 316 Stainless Steel complete with accessories is available. It is skid mounted suitable for laboratory scale pressure filtration test- work.
Pulse Tube Filter
A Pulse Tube Filter of 0.6 m2 constructed of 316 Stainless Steel complete with accessories is available. It has 3 filter tubes of 750 mm length encased in a 219 mm diameter vertical tank with conical bottom. It is skid mounted suitable for laboratory scale pressure filtration test- work.
