CEM (Changzhou) Special Equipment Co. Ltd

Background

In 1995 CEM formed a joint venture company, Changzhou CEM Cryo Equipment Co. Ltd, with a local partner in the city of Changzhou in Jiangsu Province. CEM subsequently acquired the shareholding of the joint venture partner and the business grew to become the premier manufacturer of cryogenic road tankers and one of the premier manufacturers of cryogenic storage vessels in China. In May 2005 this business was acquired by Chart (Asia) Inc.

CEM retains its wholly owned factory facilities in Changzhou and is committed to maintaining a presence in this dynamic marketplace.

A new company, CEM (Changzhou) Special Equipment Co. Ltd, was formed in 2004. It’s charter being to undertake the manufacture and sale within China of a variety of CEM designed equipment. It’s initial focus including the equipment developed by CEM subsidiary Chemical Plant & Engineering, with a wide variety of applications in the food, pharmaceutical, minerals and process industries.
